Bring Snacks and/or Lunch. There will be NO formal break for lunch.

This course is designed to give the student a better understanding of how career fire department hiring processes work and how to better prepare themselves for all aspects of the application process.

This course will offer real hands-on practice preparation for: Structured oral board interviews, fire department written exams, and the Candidate Physical Abilities Test.

Who should take this course?
  • Anyone aspiring to become a firefighter.
  • Anyone who is planning on applying to a fire department in the future.
  • Anyone who has applied to fire departments in the past, but has not ranked high enough to be offered a position, or cannot make it on the final hiring list.
What to Expect
  • Tip sand advice directly pertaining to the fire department hiring process
  • An abbreviated hands-on written exam to help gauge a student’s aptitude
  • Two separate hands-on abbreviated mock interviews
  • A hands-on practice tutorial of the Candidate Physical Abilities Test.
  • A student will leave with a better understanding of how to prepare themselves for this process and all practice materials presented in the course.
